About Us
'Not So' Purrrfect Angeles is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation that was formed in January of 1997.
Mission Statement
The mission of 'Not So' Purrrfect Angels is to substantially reduce the number of homeless cats in our community and prevent cruelty to all animals--to be accomplished through trapping and rescuing cats from vacant buildings, shopping malls, fields, parking lots, and other such areas, provide housing, spaying & neutering, and adoption or foster care placement.
Our Purpose
To enable animals, humans, and nature to co-exist in a positive and thriving environment.
Our Work
We currently have 180 cats available for adoption in our sanctuary facility. Due to a lack of funding and because we have no paid or full-time staff, we are no longer accepting kittens or cats into our facility.
Services and Programs
We are developing a foster care program for senior citizens in which we will place a cat into a loving home but we continue to provide for the cats' medical needs while the senior would give the cat the love and attention the animal needs. We will then take the cat back if the senior is unable to care for the cat. We need help in getting the word out about this program.
Volunteers
Volunteers need to be 17 years old or older and should have a love for cats or dogs. We use volunteers to groom cats, scoop litter pans, wash floors, replace bedding, wash litter pans, feed, and socialize the cats.
