About Us
Moonshine Chows Rescue & Adoption was founded in 1980.  Our facility is located in Visalia, California but we have a few foster homes around the state and help to place Chows all over California. We assist in the rescue and rehabilitation of Chows.

Our Purpose
The specific purposes of our group is to rescue and rehabilitate Chows; assist in the placement of rehabilitated dogs and to offer educational and care services relating to Chows.

Our Work
Moonshine Chows Rescue & Adoption rescues and assists in placing approximately 200 Chow dogs each year.

Our Adoptions
Interested persons must complete an application for adoption.  After review, if the person finds a Chow they would like to adopt, an Adoption Agreement must be completed and signed.

Services and Programs
Anyone needing to place their Chows may list them on the website.

Volunteers
We are always in need of volunteers to assist in the transport of animals from shelters as well as helping to evaluate Chows in shelters that are out of this area.
