The Coalition was pleased to honor long time animal advocates Gini and Bill Richardson with the 2011 "Compassion In Action" award.  The Richardsons have been working to help valley animals for more than 35 years and presently care for abused animals with an emphasis on those who are handicapped.  Gini has been a tireless advocate for anti-cruelty laws and has helped to enact many key California laws.  Bill saved countless animals from extreme cruelty in his work as a Deputy with the Fresno County Sheriff's Office and now designs and builds prosthetics and wheelchairs for animals which are donated to animals in need through their Willie Wheels Program.
Gini and Bill's work caring for survivors of animal abuse is detailed on their website, www.pixiepony.com.   You can support the Richardson's work through the nonprofit organization Animal Health and Safety Associates/Pixie Projects.  Learn more about their work by visiting their website, www.pixiepony.com.
Thank you, Gini and Bill, for inspiring all of us to do more for those who need our help!
