About Us

The Cat House on the Kings was founded in 1992 by Lynea Lattanzio. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and operate a feline sanctuary, rescue, and adoption center.

Mission Statement

The mission of Cat House on the Kings is to place rescued cats and kittens into good, loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet over-population through spaying and neutering rather than euthanasia; and to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide a unique no-cage, no-kill environment where we house over 500 felines making them available for adoption. We are also a sanctuary that provides lifetime care for felines who do not find a home. We educate and assist cat owners, feral colony care givers, and others who contact us for information.

Our Work

We adopt out approximately 500 cats (and some dogs) per year. We assist several thousand people who call our sanctuary for assistance. We also assist thousands of people from around the world who contact us through our web site (we have sponsors as far away as Canada) and through public events where we provide educational information.

Services and Programs

We make referrals for low cost spay/neuter services, adopt out cats (and some dogs), offer assistance and education in behavioral problems with cats, and assist people who need to find homes for kittens.

Volunteers

We accept volunteers, both children and adults, who love cats and are interested in helping at our facilities. Volunteers are used to assist with cleaning cat boxes, daily cleaning chores (sweeping & mopping), laundry, feeding, grooming, petting and socializing wild kittens.
