About Us
The California Feline Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, was established in 1992 to improve animal welfare throughout Central California.
Mission Statement
The California Feline Foundation is dedicated to controlling the pet population through education and spaying/neutering, not euthanasia. We believe that animals deserve to be protected, respected and given every moral and ethical consideration. Our mission is to assist with and provide for the health and welfare of the animals that have been abused, mistreated, abandoned and injured; to promote the bond between animals and people; and to instill an appreciation and respect for all living creatures with whom we share this earth.
Our Purpose
The California Feline Foundation is a non-profit, no-kill humane society. Our purpose is to decrease pet overpopulation through spay/neuter and educational programs and to provide care and shelter for homeless cats until they are adopted into good homes.
Our Work
The California Feline Foundation offers refuge and services to thousands of animals each year. Approximately 8,000 felines have been sheltered and adopted since opening ten years ago. The Foundation also operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic on the shelter premises. This clinic provides spay/neuter services to felines that would not otherwise have access because they belong to economically disadvantaged families or are considered feral. More than 12,000 cats have been spayed or neutered during the first four years of the clinic's operation.
Services and Programs
Services and programs include adoptions, low-cost spaying/neutering for cats and kittens, foster care and humane education.
Volunteers
There is an endless need for volunteers within the organization. Volunteers are needed to help with fundraising events, community outreach booths, animal socialization and foster care.
