About Us
Animal Rescue of Fresno (ARF) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation and rescue group that routinely rescues homeless and abandoned dogs and places them into loving homes. We are run entirely by volunteers and have no paid staff members.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to eliminate the suffering and promote the welfare of dogs through direct action and education. ARF is committed to encouraging the humane treatment of all animals, reducing the number of homeless dogs, promoting the benefits of the human/animal bond, and supporting the spaying and neutering of companion animals.
Our Work
On average, ARF adopts out approximately 250 dogs per year and we assist approximately 1,800 citizens annually who call our facility. Our website receives approximately 100,000 visits per year from people interested in adopting a dog.
Volunteers
ARF is always looking for volunteers. We use volunteers to help clean kennels, exercise and play with the dogs, and perform other odd jobs. We are also looking for foster homes to temporarily house our dogs and assist with training or housebreaking and socialization.
